playing practice suggests a space where text becomes a matter of playing and playing a practice that allows for reading and writing to coincide. Sharing textual fragments as tools and toys, this collaborative session was taking place at various sites (the Urbanomic Studio, Babahogs, Bureau of Open Culture, Department of Reading wiki and Skype). By proposing simple frameworks and rules with which to start the sessions, playing itself became a space of encounter, experimentation and intervention that could be joined or left at any time. Fragments of text could be quoted, edited, moved, exchanged, reworked, replaced and rewritten with the use of doris (Department of Reading internet system). The series invited to discuss the matter of playing in that each session allowed for different figures to appear through modes of playing with the textual fragments generated by previous sessions.
